Industrial Design
Course is designed to enhance students knowledge and basic understanding of design concepts. Students will start with basic drafting techniques used to construct 3D drawings. We will study the mechanical compass and other tools to aid us in the creation of basic geometric shapes. The concepts learned will build into our understanding of form and drawing in isometric 3D dimensions. Students are introduced to and will use our Dremel 3D45 (3D printer) to build basic concept models. Industrial Design will integrate 3D drawing techniques (drafting) with C.A.D. We will study Vector imagery in Inkscape as well, and use designs we've created to print on our laser engraver.
